Deepak Kumar
It’s not that I’m a late entrant to the blogosphere; I’d started a blog more than two years ago, when I was, in fact, required to post the status of my work when I was interning with the Academic Computing department at Stanford University. The pressure to complete the master’s project, work on my part-time internship at SRI International in Menlo Park (Center for Technology in Learning), finding a dream job, and spending time with my toddler son didn’t allow me enough time to continue posting on my blog.
And here I am again … after a gap of two years.
Putting your thoughts on paper (read computer) can be very exciting. Especially if people with shared interests find my posts interesting (well, not always) and share their thoughts with me. So go ahead and post your comments in the comments section (don’t worry, dissenting voices are allowed).
Now a little about me. I have lived most of my life in India. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering from Indian School of Mines (India) and a Master’s degree in Learning, Design, and Technology from Stanford University School of Education.
After working for some time in the Petroleum industry, I realized that my interests lie somewhere else. And while exploring my inner self, I accidentally found myself working in the technology-based education sector. Slowly and gradually, I started liking my work, and things continued to move in the right direction.
I currently work as a project manager in one of the leading publishing companies in the field of higher education in the US. My role is an interesting combination of a project manager for technology products and a product manager.
Welcome to the second innings of my blog. Happy reading …
